A tragic Tampines car accident late Thursday night, October 29, 2026, claimed the lives of two young people after a collision involving two cars and a motorcycle along Tampines Avenue 12 in Singapore. The victims, a 24-year-old male motorcyclist and his 24-year-old female pillion rider, died from their injuries after being taken to the hospital.

According to information released by the Singapore Police Force and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) on Friday, October 30, authorities received an alert about the accident at approximately 10:35 p.m. on Thursday.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found multiple damaged vehicles. The motorcyclist and his female passenger were unconscious when they were taken to the hospital. Both later succumbed to their injuries.

Two People Taken to Hospital After Tampines Crash

The accident involved two cars and a motorcycle. Authorities confirmed that a 25-year-old woman who was driving one of the cars was taken to the hospital while conscious.

SCDF initially reported that four people had been transported to medical facilities following the collision. Two were taken to Changi General Hospital, while another two were transported to Sengkang General Hospital.

The identities of the two people who died have not been publicly disclosed in the available reports.

The crash caused extensive damage to the vehicles and surrounding roadside area. Photographs and videos shared on social media showed a heavily damaged motorcycle lying on the road. One dark-coloured car was overturned on its side among roadside shrubs, while another black car was seen on a nearby grass patch with its rear bumper and licence plate dislodged.

Debris was scattered across the road, with uprooted vegetation and damaged road dividers visible. A tree and a pole also appeared to have been knocked down during the collision.

Police Searching for Two People Who Left the Scene

Police investigations have raised additional questions about the circumstances surrounding the Tampines car accident.

According to the police, the male driver and female passenger of the second car were not present when officers arrived at the scene. Preliminary investigations indicated that both individuals had left after the accident.

Authorities are now searching for the pair as investigations continue. Further details about their identities and the circumstances surrounding their departure have not been released.

The fatal collision comes amid increasing concerns about road safety in Singapore. Traffic accidents resulting in injuries increased from 3,748 in the first half of 2025 to 3,869 during the same period in 2026.

Motorcyclists and pillion riders accounted for 55.6 percent of traffic accidents during the first half of 2026. They also represented 45.9 percent of all road fatalities, making them the largest group involved in fatal road accidents.

Police investigations into the Tampines collision remain ongoing. Authorities have not yet released further details about what caused the crash.
